About

With the odc we provide an API with which the java api of the content manager ondemand can be quickly and easily integrated into your own applications. We remove the version dependencies between application and API. Use the full functionality of the ondemand api with easy-to-use endpoints. Be productive in no time and use ondemand functionality seamlessly in your applications. ODC is also the core of our own solutions. for example the archiving, the workbasketes and others.

Platforms

ODC runs on various IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) supported platforms

We support windows, Linux and IBM System i5. The only reqirements are an installed CMOD api and java 11 64 bit. You don't need any webserver to deploy.

Multi instance

Each odc instance connects to a cmod server instance

It doesn't matter on which platform your ondemand archive is running. ODC is compatible with the current ondemand server levels. You have multiple CMOD instances? No problem for each instance set up the appropriate odc instance and you can get started. Do you have different applications at different locations? Simply set up an odc instance where it is most usable.

Scalable

Optimize performance

Odc offers many ways to optimize performance. adapt the connection pools to your requirements or simply work with several instances.

Secure

Use your own certificates

Use secure https connections with your own certificates. Determine on which ports the rest of the service can be reached.

Integration

Integration made easy

Odc is the best solution to implement your ideas in the shortest possible time with CMOD. Be it the display of documents or direct archiving from your application. Dont't waste time. Just start.

Integrating cmod with ODC

the api'S

Upload documents

Use the upload endpoint to load documents into the onDemand archive. Depending on your requirements, you can archive documents individually or in large quantities with the bulk upload. Each load provides a unique document ID that you can use in your application.

search documents

When searching for documents, we support all search functions that ondemand offers. If required, you can immediately extend or reduce the odwek default hitlist.

Index update

You can update any field of an archived document - as long as it is updateable and you have the rights. Adding more indices - known as "multikex indexing" - is also supported. An update can be made to individual documents or to an entire list of hits (bulk update).

download documents

Documents can be downloaded by using a unique key or and item in a hitlist. If a Document contains ressources - like afp documents - you can download just raw data or complete with ressources.
We support bulk download that will provide a zip containing all documents of the query.

Document links

We support the direct call-up of a document via link. This link can use the unique odc-id, or a query.

Query holds

Check whether so-called holds exist on a document.

Set and delete holds

If your application requires it, you can add or remove holds.

Annotations

You can query whether there are notes on a document and add some as well.

Viewing documents in the browser

For viewing documents you can set x-frame options like deny, allow, sameorinin and others.

Delete documents

Our delete endpoint allows to delete single documents or bulk delete as well.

Folder operations

With the folder endpoints you can query all information about the structure and components of a folder. For example which fields there are and which application groups are assigned to this folder.

Applicationgroup operations

Find out how an application group is defined. Which fields and field types it has or which applications are assigned to it. Check if retention manager or cfsod support is active.

Application operations

Determine the properties of an application. Which document type is assigned to it and which extension was specified.

Enhanced logging

ODC provides a well formed log. With the logging endpoint your application can write information directly in the odc log. You also can retrieve the current or all logfiles

Encryption services

Never use unencrypted users or passwords. Odc offers the possibility to lock both. You can then use these encrypted values when calling the API.

Connection reset

Changes in the OnDemand configuration, such as new application groups in a folder, are normally only available to the API after you log in again. This endpoint simplifies this significantly by automatically resetting the connection.

Get environment

Query the operating system environment of your odc instance to integrate it in an admin dashboard. Query the annual transactions (requests) to the odc instance.
